Nine trades, nine sites.

Same studio, same care, and deliberately not the same site nine times over. Under each one is the decision that shaped it.

These are our own sites, built to show how we work across different trades. They are real, live and hand-built, but the businesses on them are not trading.

Oakwell Tree Care website, dark hero over a photograph of a treeline

Tree surgeon

Oakwell Tree Care

Tree surgery and stump grinding across Exeter and Devon.

The phone number sits in the header on every page, right next to the quote button. A tree on the roof is a phone call, not a contact form.

The Roaming Chair website, headline beside a photograph of a client having their hair styled

Mobile hairdresser

The Roaming Chair

Hairdressing that comes to you, in Bristol.

The whole site opens on "we come to you", because for a mobile hairdresser that is the service. It is not a detail to mention further down.

Scruffs website, headline beside a photograph of a golden retriever

Dog groomer

Scruffs

Dog grooming in Cambridge. All breeds.

Two things to do, book or see prices, and nothing else on the screen competing with them.

Rye Lane Studio website, full-bleed photograph with a short headline

Wedding photographer

Rye Lane Studio

Documentary wedding photography in Margate and Kent.

Almost no interface. When the photographs are the product, the design job is mostly getting out of their way.

Brow House website, pale lilac layout beside a treatment photograph

Lash and brow artist

Brow House

Lashes, brows and facials in central Brighton.

Soft colours and a lot of empty space. The salon is selling calm, so the page had to feel calm before it says anything.

Greenlight Driving School website, dark hero with a booking button

Driving instructor

Greenlight Driving School

Learning to drive in Nottingham.

Booking is the first thing your thumb reaches on a phone. Learners are looking on a phone, usually in the evening.

View the site
Paws & Play Boarding website, photograph of a dog in a garden behind the headline

Dog boarder

Paws & Play Boarding

Home boarding in Shrewsbury.

The dogs do the work. Photographs first and big, because that is the only thing an owner really wants to see before they trust you.

Chloe's Nails website, treatment list beside a photograph of finished nails

Nail technician

Chloe's Nails

Gel, acrylic and BIAB nails in Leeds.

The treatment list and the booking button share a screen, so nobody has to go hunting through a menu to find out what is offered.

View the site
Iron & Oak PT website, dark gym photograph behind the headline

Personal trainer

Iron & Oak PT

One-to-one and group training in Manchester.

One offer, stated once. Repeating it down the page would not have made it more convincing.

Want one built for what you actually do?

Tell us the trade and what you need people to be able to do on the site.

We reply within a day, usually within an hour. If it looks like a fit we will ask a few questions and put a preview together for you to look at.
